About CG EYECARE OF FLORIDA Doctors

In 2001, Dr. Alice Cioara graduated from Barry University, located in Miami Shores, Florida, where she completed her Bachelors of Science degree - Biology (major) and Chemistry (minor).   Following in 2005, she successfully attained the Doctor of Optometry degree at Nova Southeastern University College of Optometry located in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.  During her optometric education, Dr. Cioara completed an externship at the Tianjin Medical University Eye Hospital in Tianjin, China, where she studied under the supervision of Dr. Wang (Director of refractive surgery) and Dr. Zhao (Director of the eye hospital and of the department of strabismus).  Dr. Cioara's areas of experience during her externship were concentrated in the areas of glaucoma, refractive surgery, and strabismus.  Furthermore, she continued her post-graduate studies at The H. Wayne Huizenga College of Business & Entrepreneurship at Nova Southeastern University, where in 2009 she received the degree of Master of Business Administration. 

Dr. Cioara is a member of the American Optometric Association (AOA) and is TPA board certified in the following states:
Virginia, Kentucky, and Florida.  In addition, Dr. Cioara is also a member of the Florida Optometric Association (FOA), along with the following local societies: Broward County Optometric Association (BCOA), Miami-Dade Optometric Physicians Association (MDOPA).

Optometrists are eye health care professionals state-licensed to diagnose and treat diseases and disorders of the eye and visual system.

In 1997, Dr. Jeffrey Giurato graduated from University of Notre Dame, located in Indiana, where he completed his Bachelors of Science degree - with a major in Pre-Med.  Following in 2005, he successfully attained the Doctor of Optometry degree at Nova Southeastern University College of Optometry located in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.  During his optometric education, Dr. Giurato completed an externship at Aran Eye Associates as well at Dan and Hoffman- Eye Centers of Florida.  Dr. Giurato's areas of experience during his externship were concentrated in anterior and posterior ocular diseases.   Dr. Giurato is TPA board certified in the following states: Virginia and Florida.
